Dr. William Cherniak

William Cherniak (Bill) is an emergency physician trained in family medicine and global public health. He completed his medical training at the Universities of Calgary and Toronto, his MPH at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (as a Sommer Scholar with full scholarship), and a cancer fellowship at the U.S. National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health.

Bill has taught at Northwestern University, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the University of Toronto and the University of Southern California, with his research published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, Academic Medicine, and PLOS ONE. Additionally, Bill is co-founder and board chair of Bridge to Health Medical and Dental, a registered Canadian charity and US 501(c)3, working with partners in academia, civil society and government to help build comprehensive care in rural and remote communities leveraging advanced technology.
